Deanery Synod

Deanery Synod is a meeting of elected lay church members and clergy from the Deanery, meeting four times a year to discuss topics such as:

  • the mission of the local churches
  • training and resources
  • stewardship and parish share
  • implementation of diocesan initiatives
  • items of interest from external speakers

We elect members to the Diocesan Synod and so to the General Synod where major debates and decisions are made regarding national church life.  The Standing Committee welcomes suggestions for topics and speakers.
