Welcome to the Amersham Deanery website

I’m Rev Derrick Carr, the Area Dean of Amersham Deanery. May I welcome you to our site which is primarily for the use of our church members in the Deanery. However, if you are a visitor then I hope that you will find something of interest in the pages. Amersham Deanery is part of the Archdeaconry of Buckingham in the Diocese of Oxford. Our Area Bishop is the Rt.Revd Alan Wilson and our Archdeacon is the Venerable Karen Gorham. Our Deanery stretches from Chesham in the North down to Denham in the South and is a pleasant mix of rural and urban parishes. Being adjacent to the A40, M40 and M25 and on the Central Tube Line and the Chiltern Railways line from Birmingham to Marleybone, means that a great number of our parishioners commute into London or drive into the Thames Valley conurbations to work. Our principal towns are Chesham, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield.
